Switches

Switches come in a range of different shapes, sizes and colours. They can be connected to any peice of electrical equipment to make it more easier to use. Switches can be used for anyone but are partcually helpful for those with a disability. Some examples of different types of switches are flick switches, button switches, pad switch and a lever switch.

Dave Speedam from Kimiora School visited the Occupational Therapy School to show us how switches could be used by children with disabilities.

We trialled the switches Dave had by attaching them to a food processor which we used to make scones with!!
